UseNewDialect
Specifies whether the provider uses the updated MySQL dialect when parsing and encoding SQL statements.
Data Type
bool
Default Value
false
Remarks
This property controls how the add-in interprets the backslash (\) character inside quoted identifiers (for example, table and column names). When set to "true", the add-in matches native MySQL behavior: a backslash is treated as a literal character inside quoted identifiers. The backslash continues to act as an escape character inside quoted string literals. When set to "false", the add-in treats the backslash as an escape character inside quoted identifiers. For backwards compatibility, this property defaults to "false".
