CData Python Connector for MySQL

Build 26.0.9770

UseNewDialect

Specifies whether the provider uses the updated MySQL dialect when parsing and encoding SQL statements.

Data Type

bool

Default Value

false

Remarks

This property controls how the connector interprets the backslash (\) character inside quoted identifiers (for example, table and column names). When set to "true", the connector matches native MySQL behavior: a backslash is treated as a literal character inside quoted identifiers. The backslash continues to act as an escape character inside quoted string literals. When set to "false", the connector treats the backslash as an escape character inside quoted identifiers. For backwards compatibility, this property defaults to "false".
