Miscellaneous
This section provides a complete list of the Miscellaneous properties you can configure in the connection settings for this provider.
| Property | Description |
| AllowUserVariables | Specifies whether user-defined variables (prefixed with @) are allowed in SQL queries. When enabled, the driver treats these as in-query user variables instead of parameter placeholders, allowing advanced SQL scripting patterns, such as variable assignment and conditional logic. |
| BatchSize | Specifies the maximum number of rows included in each batch submitted during batch operations. To submit the entire batch as a single request, set BatchSize to 0 . |
| Characterset | Specifies the default client character set used by the provider for encoding queries it sends to the server. |
| ConnectOnOpen | Specifies whether the provider establishes a connection to MySQL immediately upon opening the connection. Set ConnectOnOpen to True if immediate connectivity verification is necessary. |
| DateTimeTimeZone | Specifies the timezone to apply to DATETIME types. |
| DefaultDomain | This property is used for the Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC. |
| EnableForeignKeyDetection | Whether to detect the foreign keys in ODBC. |
| EnsureKeepAlive | Setting this property to 'true' means that provider pings the server before performing a request, so the driver knows if the connection has been dropped since the last request. |
| IncludeDualTable | Set this property to mock the Oracle DUAL table for better compatibility with Oracle database. |
| LimitKeySize | The maximum length of a primary key column. |
| MapBigintToVarchar | This property controls whether or not the bigint type maps to SQL_VARCHAR instead of SQL_BIGINT. This property is false by default. |
| MapToInt | This property controls whether or not the long type maps to SQL_INTEGER instead of SQL_BIGINT. This property is false by default. |
| MapToLongVarchar | This property controls whether or not a column is returned as SQL_LONGVARCHAR. |
| MapToWVarchar | This property controls whether or not string types map to SQL_WVARCHAR instead of SQL_VARCHAR. This property is set by default. |
| MaximumColumnSize | The maximum column size. |
| MaxRows | Specifies the maximum number of rows returned for queries that do not include either aggregation or GROUP BY. |
| Other | Specifies additional hidden properties for specific use cases., to be used only when our Support team advises it, to address specific issues. See Remarks for details. |
| QueryPassthrough | This option passes the query to the MySQL server as is. |
| Readonly | Toggles read-only access to MySQL from the provider. |
| ReturnSchema | Controls whether schema information is included in metadata queries such as getSchemas, getTables, getViews, getProcedures, getColumns, getProcedureParameters, and getIndex. |
| RTK | Specifies the runtime key for licensing the provider. If unset or invalid, the provider defaults to the standard licensing method. This property is only required in environments where the standard licensing method is unsupported or requires a runtime key. |
| ServerTimeZone | Specifies the timezone identifier for the MySQL server, based on the current edition and platform. This setting controls how the driver interprets and converts datetime values between the server and client. |
| Timeout | This setting defines how long (in seconds) an operation is allowed to run before the system automatically considers it as having timed out. If the operation does not finish within the specified time, a timeout error is thrown. The default value is set to 30 seconds. |
| TinyInt1Type | Defines the presentation type used to display small integer values. |
| UpperCaseIdentifiers | This property reports all identifiers in uppercase. This is the default for Oracle databases and thus allows better integration with Oracle tools such as the Oracle Database Gateway. |
| ZeroDatesToNull | This property determines whether Date and DateTime values consisting entirely of zeros (for example, '0000-00-00' or '0000-00-00 00:00:00') are returned as NULL values. By default, this property is set to 'true', meaning any invalid date or datetime values represented as all zeros is returned as NULL instead of their original value. |
