Remarks

When this property is set to true, the provider queries the Google BigQuery INFORMATION_SCHEMA views to retrieve metadata, rather than calling the Google BigQuery metadata API endpoints.

By default, this property is set to false, and the provider retrieves metadata from the Google BigQuery metadata API endpoints.

Note that QueryPassthrough must be set to true in order for the INFORMATION_SCHEMA to be queried. If there are any issues querying the INFORMATION_SCHEMA, it will fall back on using the Google BigQuery metadata endpoints.

This property currently takes effect only when ShowTableDescriptions is enabled. Enable it when you want table descriptions sourced from the INFORMATION_SCHEMA views, which is significantly faster than the regular metadata endpoint but has different rules for billing.
