Getting Started
The CData Power BI Connector for Microsoft Dynamics NAV is built on top of an ODBC driver. This section discusses how to install the connector, create a DSN, and connect from Power BI.
Installing the Connector
Installing the Connector is a step-by-step guide for how to manage the installation process.
Creating a Data Source Name (DSN)
Creating the Data Source Name describes the process to authenticate and connect to Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
Microsoft Dynamics NAV Version Support
The connector supports read/write access to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013+ through OData Web services. To access data through the API, you will need to publish the pages you want to work with as Web services: In the Web or Windows Dynamics NAV client, search for 'Web services.' To add a page to the list of the pages exposed, select the Object Type and Object Id.
