Procedure for Updates

You can use odbc_exec to execute data modification statements. This will return a resource which contains the number of affected rows.

INSERT

To insert updates:

$result = odbc_exec($cnx, "INSERT INTO Customer (Contact) VALUES ('John')");
$affected = odbc_num_rows($result);

UPDATE

To retrieve updates:

$result = odbc_exec($cnx, "UPDATE Customer SET Contact = 'John' WHERE Name = 'CData, Inc.'");
$affected = odbc_num_rows($result);

DELETE

To delete updates:

$result = odbc_exec($cnx, "DELETE FROM Customer WHERE Id = 'http://myserver:7048/DynamicsNAV71/OData/Customer('01234567')'");
$affected = odbc_num_rows($result);
