When flattening objects and arrays, the provider will use this value to separate different levels of objects and arrays. For example, if your Couchbase server returns a document like this (and FlattenObjects is enabled), then the provider will return the columns "geo.latitude" and "geo.longitude" if the periods separator is set to ".".
