CData Python Connector for HPCC

Build 21.0.7930

Establishing a Connection

The objects available within our connector are accessible from the "cdata.hpcc" module. In order to use the module's objects directly, the module must first be imported as below:

import cdata.hpcc as mod

From there, the connect() method can be called from the connector object to establish a connection using an appropriate connection string, such as the below:

mod.connect("URL=http://127.0.0.1:8510;User=test;Password=xA123456;Version=1;Cluster=hthor;")

To connect, set the following connection properties.

Set Url to the machine name or IP address of the server and the port the server is running on, for example, https://server:port. The User and Password are required to authenticate to the HPCC system specified in Url. Note that LDAP authentication is not currently supported.

Set Version to the WsSQL Web server version. Note that if you have not already done so, you will need to install the WsSQL service on the HPCC server. The CData Python Connector for HPCC uses the WsSQL Web service to interact with the underlying HPCC system.

Set Cluster to the target cluster.
