JDBC Driver for Adobe Commerce

Establishing a Connection

Creating a JDBC Data Source

You can create a JDBC data source to connect from your Java application, based on CData JDBC Driver for Adobe Commerce.

Follow these steps:

  1. Add the driver JAR file to the classpath. The JAR file is located in the installation directory's lib subfolder. Ensure that the .lic file is located in the same folder as the JAR file.
  2. Provide the driver class. For example:
    cdata.jdbc.adobecommerce.AdobeCommerceDriver
  3. Provide the JDBC URL. For example:
    jdbc:adobecommerce:User=admin;Password=admin;Url=https://myadobecommercehost

Or, if there is a conflict in your application between drivers using the same URL format, use this form to ensure that you are using the CData driver:

    jdbc:cdata:adobecommerce:User=admin;Password=admin;Url=https://myadobecommercehost

Ensure that the URL starts with either jdbc:adobecommerce: or jdbc:cdata:adobecommerce:. The URL can include any of the connection properties in name-value pairs separated with semicolons.

Connecting to AdobeCommerce

To connect, set the URL; for example, http://yoursitename/magento2, and optionally provide the StoreCode of the store you are connecting to, if more than one are present.

Authenticating to AdobeCommerce

To authenticate to AdobeCommerce server versions, you can use either the Basic or the Token AuthScheme.

Basic

  • AuthScheme Set this to Basic.
  • User Set this to your user name in AdobeCommerce.
  • Password Set this to your password in AdobeCommerce.

Access Token

To generate the AccessToken, Log in to the AdobeCommerce Stores > Settings > Configuration > Services > OAuth > Access Token.
