CData Tableau Connector for YouTube Analytics
The CData Tableau Connector for YouTube Analytics offers self-service integration with Tableau. The connector facilitates live access to YouTube Analytics data in Tableau using the connection window. The connector also provides direct querying to visualize and analyze YouTube Analytics data.
The connector supports Tableau Desktop 2020.1 or later and Tableau Prep 2020.4.1 or later. For older versions of Tableau, the CData ODBC Driver for YouTube Analytics or the CData JDBC Driver for YouTube Analytics can serve as an alternative means of connecting to YouTube Analytics data in Tableau.
See Getting Started for a guide to create a YouTube Analytics Data Source in Tableau. The guide will walk you through Installing the Connector and then Configuring a Connection via the connection builder.
Once a connection has been configured, see Getting Data to set up a data source that offers live connectivity to YouTube Analytics.
Advanced Features details additional features supported by the connector, such as defining user defined views, remoting, caching, firewall/proxy settings, and advanced logging.
Using the Connector
Refer to Visualizing Data to create and work with Tableau visualizations.
See User Defined Views to construct virtual tables whose contents are determined by a pre-configured query, which will then be discovered among existing table metadata.
See Data Model for information on the available database objects and how to use SQL to work with YouTube Analytics APIs. This section provides more detailed information on querying specific YouTube Analytics entities.
