SELECT INTO Statements

You can use the SELECT INTO statement to export formatted data to a file.

Data Export with an SQL Query

The following query exports data into a file formatted in comma-separated values (CSV):

C#

String connectionString = "Schema=REST;InitiateOAuth=GETANDREFRESH;OAuthClientId=ClientId;OAuthClientSecret=ClientSecret; UseSandbox=true;";

using (PayPalConnection connection = new PayPalConnection(connectionString)) {
  PayPalCommand cmd = new PayPalCommand("SELECT Id, State INTO [csv://Payments.txt] FROM [Payments] WHERE CreateTime = '2016-01-15' ", connection);
  int rowsAffected = cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
}

VB.NET

Dim connectionString As [String] = "Schema=REST;InitiateOAuth=GETANDREFRESH;OAuthClientId=ClientId;OAuthClientSecret=ClientSecret; UseSandbox=true;"

Using connection As New PayPalConnection(connectionString)
  Dim cmd As New PayPalCommand("SELECT Id, State INTO [csv://Payments.txt] FROM [Payments] WHERE CreateTime = '2016-01-15'", connection)
  Dim rowsAffected As Integer = cmd.ExecuteNonQuery()
End Using
You can specify other file formats in the URI. The following example exports tab-separated values:

C#

String connectionString = "Schema=REST;InitiateOAuth=GETANDREFRESH;OAuthClientId=ClientId;OAuthClientSecret=ClientSecret; UseSandbox=true;";

using (PayPalConnection connection = new PayPalConnection(connectionString)) {
  PayPalCommand cmd = new PayPalCommand("SELECT * INTO [Payments] IN [csv://filename=c:/Payments.csv;delimiter=tab] FROM [Payments] WHERE CreateTime > '2016-01-15'", connection);
  int rowsAffected = cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
}

VB.NET

Dim connectionString As [String] = "Schema=REST;InitiateOAuth=GETANDREFRESH;OAuthClientId=ClientId;OAuthClientSecret=ClientSecret; UseSandbox=true;"

Using connection As New PayPalConnection(connectionString)
  Dim cmd As New PayPalCommand("SELECT * INTO [Payments] IN [csv://filename=c:/Payments.csv;delimiter=tab] FROM [Payments] WHERE CreateTime > '2016-01-15'", connection)
  Dim rowsAffected As Integer = cmd.ExecuteNonQuery()
End Using
