UseDefaultOrderBy

Indicates whether the Issues (and related child tables) are automatically sorted by their primary keys if no other ordering is specified in the query. This helps ensure consistent sorting of results and prevents duplicate records from appearing in the output.

Data Type

bool

Default Value

true

Remarks

By default, the component applies an ORDER BY id ASC clause to the Issues table when none is specified in the query. This also applies to related child objects: Comments, IssueAffectedVersions, IssueChangelogs, IssueComponents, IssueFixVersions, IssueLinks, IssueSubtasks, IssueTransitions, and Worklogs. This ensures that records are returned in a predictable order and helps prevent duplicate records from appearing.

However, this default behavior can significantly impact performance, especially for very large tables, as it requires sorting all the results before returning them. If your use case can tolerate the possibility of duplicate records and you want to improve query performance, you can disable this property.
