Remarks

This property controls whether the driver communicates with JIRA using version 2 or version 3 of the JIRA REST API.

JIRA Cloud supports both API versions. If the connection is to a JIRA Data Center or Server instance, only version 2 is available; the driver automatically uses REST_V2 in that case regardless of the value set here.

The following values are supported:

• REST_V2: Uses version 2 of the JIRA REST API. Rich-text fields, such as issue descriptions and comment bodies, are represented as plain wiki-markup strings.
• REST_V3: Uses version 3 of the JIRA REST API. Rich-text fields are represented using the Atlassian Document Format (ADF), a structured JSON format, instead of wiki-markup strings.
