GetShippingTime

Provides the average estimated time to ship a package from an origin to a destination address. This table will, at a minimum, take pertinent input information from the Shipments, Senders, and Recipients tables. The information it fetches from these tables will depend on the provided ShipmentId. The output will be a result set of individual services that will all be automatically inserted into the TimeHistory table.

Procedure Specific Information

The stored procedure will examine the following tables for input:

  • Shipments
  • Senders
  • Recipients
  • Packages

The stored procedure will add its output as records to the following table:

  • TimeHistory

Execute

In order to execute this procedure, one must specify ShipmentId. See the example below:

Input

Name Type Description
SenderTown String Town name from which the shipment is originating. Used for further definition of the source location.
RecipientTown String Town name to where the shipment is destined. Used for further definition of the destination location.
TotalValue Decimal Monetary value of shipment contents, to two decimal places.
CurrencyCode String Three letter currency code for monetary values.
ShipDate Datetime The date the user requests UPS to pickup the package from the origin, up to 60 days form the future. Required if ShipDate is not defined in the specified Shipment.
ShipmentId Integer Identifier for the shipment details to calculate rates for.

TimeId Integer Identifier for shipping time results.
ServiceType String Type of service for which the rate is applied. Valid values are the following: Unspecified, First_Class, Priority_Mail, Expedited_Mail_Innovations, Priority_Mail_Innovations, Economy_Mail_Innovations, Next_Day_Air, Express, 2nd_Day_Air, Ground, Worldwide_Express, Worldwide_Expedited, Expedited, Standard, 3Day_Select, Next_Day_Air_Saver, Saver, Next_Day_Air_Early_AM, Express_Early_AM, Worldwide_Express_Plus, Express_Plus, 2nd_Day_Air_AM, Today_Standard, Today_Courrier, Today_Inter_City, Today_Express, Today_Express_Saver, Worldwide_Express_Freight, Sure_Post_Less_Than_1LB, Sure_Post_1LB_OR_Greater, Sure_Post_BPM, Sure_Post_Media
GuaranteedDescription String Textual description of a guaranteed delivery for a UPS service type.
CustomerCenterCutoff String Time the UPS Customer Service Center closes.
DeliveryDate String Date of shipment delivery for the ServiceType.
DeliveryDay String Day of the week for the delivery date.
ShipDate String Date UPS picks up the package from the origin.
BusinessDays Integer Number of business days from origin to destination location.
DelayDays Integer Number of days the shipment is delayed in customs.
RestDays Integer Number of days the shipment is in rest due to non-business days.
Holidays Integer Number of national holidays during transit.
Disclaimer String A conditional statement about the validity of the service being guaranteed.
SenderCountry String Country name from which the shipment is originating.
RecipientCountry String Country name to which the shipment is destined.
