CData Tableau Connector for Google Drive
The CData Tableau Connector for Google Drive offers self-service integration with Tableau. The connector facilitates live access to Google Drive data in Tableau using the connection window. The connector also provides direct querying to visualize and analyze Google Drive data.
Note that you must have Tableau 2020.3 or greater installed as well as an up-to-date version of Java. For older versions of Tableau, the CData ODBC Driver for Google Drive or the CData JDBC Driver for Google Drive can serve as an alternative means of connecting to Google Drive data in Tableau.
Once a connection has been configured, see Getting Data to set up a data source that offers live connectivity to Google Drive.
Using the Connector
Refer to Visualizing Data to create and work with Tableau visualizations.
See Defining Custom Views to construct virtual tables whose contents are determined by a pre-configured query, which will then be discovered among existing table metadata.
See Data Model for information on the available database objects and how to use SQL to work with Google Drive APIs. This section provides more detailed information on querying specific Google Drive entities.
