The CData Power BI Connector for OData is built on top of an ODBC driver. This section discusses how to install the connector, create a DSN, and connect from Power BI.
Installing the Connector
Installing the Connector describes how to install the CData Power BI Connector for OData.
Creating a Data Source Name (DSN)
Creating the Data Source Name describes the process to authenticate and connect to OData
Connecting from Power BI
Getting Data shows how to connect to the DSN and build a query to OData from the Get Data window.
OData Version Support
The connector is a standard OData consumer that can read and write to OData 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 services. The major authentication schemes are supported, including HTTP Basic, Digest, and NTLM, as well as SSL/TLS. The connector also facilitates connecting to data sources that use the OAuth authentication standard.
