CData ODBC Driver for SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer 2018CData ODBC Driver for SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer 2018 - Build 18.0.6883
OverviewThe CData ODBC Driver for SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer 2018 enables real-time access to SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer data, directly from any applications that support ODBC connectivity, the most widely supported interface for connecting applications with data.
The driver wraps the complexity of accessing SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer data in a standard ODBC driver compliant with ODBC 3.8. Applications can then access SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer as a traditional database. The CData ODBC Driver for SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer 2018 hides the complexity of accessing data and provides additional powerful security features, smart caching, batching, socket management, and more.
- Bidirectional access.
- Collaborative query processing.
- Access, analyze, and report on data with your SQL-based tool of choice.
- Supports 32-bit and 64-bit applications.
- Supports the Unicode ODBC APIs and ODBC 3.8.
- Drivers for Windows, Linux, and macOS/OS X.
See Getting Started to create an ODBC DSN (data source name) and connect to SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer.
Using the ODBC DriverSee Using the ODBC Driver (from Tools) to use the ODBC driver in some of the popular applications and programming languages that connect via ODBC. See Using the ODBC Driver (ODBC API) to connect to SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer from C.
See the CData KB to connect from many other applications.
The driver's ODBC remoting feature enables you to Create a Linked Server. The ODBC remoting feature allows hosting the ODBC connection on a server to enable connections from virtually anywhere -- various clients on any platform (Java, .NET, C++, PHP, Python, etc.) and using any standards-based technology (ODBC, JDBC, etc.). ODBC remoting is enabled through the popular TDS (SQL Server) and MySQL wire protocols.
See SQL Broker to configure MySQL or SQL Server entry points for SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer on your server, using the included CData SQL Broker application. The SQL Broker listens for incoming MySQL and SQL Server connections and brokers the SQL request to the ODBC data source.
This enables any MySQL or SQL Server client to connect, from PHP applications to SQL Server linked servers.
ODBC Driver API
See Using the ODBC Driver (ODBC API) for information on the supported interfaces and examples of using them against SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer data.
See SQL Compliance for a syntax reference and code examples outlining the supported SQL.
See Caching Data to configure replication and caching for a range of scenarios common to remote data access. Configurations include:
- Autocache: Automatically cache data to a lightweight database. Save data for later offline use or enable fast reporting from the cache.
- Replication: Copy data to local and cloud data stores such as Oracle, SQL Server, Google Cloud SQL, etc. The replication commands allow for intelligent incremental updates to cached data.
- No caching: Work with remote data only. No local cache file is created.
See Data Model for the available database objects. This section also provides more detailed information on querying specific SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer entities.
Collaborative Query Processing
The driver enhances the data source's capabilities with additional client side processing, when needed, to enable analytic summaries of data such as SUM, AVG, MAX, MIN, etc.
See SupportEnhancedSQL, in the Connection section, for more information.
Connection String Options
The Connection properties describe the various options that can be used to establish a connection.
