The CData ODBC Driver for Azure Synapse is a standards-based ODBC driver with editions for Windows and Unix-based operating systems, like macOS and Linux. The following sections show how to create an ODBC data source and query data.

Creating a DSN on Your Platform

The following guides show how to use the standard tools to configure data source names (DSN).

Azure Synapse Version Support

The driver enables connectivity to Azure Synapse through the TDS protocol.

Data is transferred to Azure Synapse via the upload of CSV data to Azure Blob, which is then copied to Azure Synapse.
