CData Tableau Connector for Azure Data Lake Storage
Overview
The CData Tableau Connector for Azure Data Lake Storage offers self-service integration with Tableau. The connector facilitates live access to Azure Data Lake Storage data in Tableau using the connection window. The connector also provides direct querying to visualize and analyze Azure Data Lake Storage data.
The connector supports Tableau Desktop 2020.1 or later and Tableau Prep 2020.4.1 or later. For older versions of Tableau, the CData ODBC Driver for Azure Data Lake Storage or the CData JDBC Driver for Azure Data Lake Storage can serve as an alternative means of connecting to Azure Data Lake Storage data in Tableau.
Getting Started
See Getting Started for a guide to create a Azure Data Lake Storage Data Source in Tableau. The guide will walk you through Installing the Connector and then Configuring a Connection via the connection builder.
Once a connection has been configured, see Getting Data to set up a data source that offers live connectivity to Azure Data Lake Storage.
Advanced Features
Advanced Features details additional features supported by the connector, such as defining user defined views, ssl configuration, remoting, caching, firewall/proxy settings, and advanced logging.
Using the Connector
