JDBC Driver for Splunk

Build 22.0.8462

Getting Started

Connecting to Splunk

Establishing a Connection shows how to authenticate to Splunk and configure any necessary connection properties in a JDBC URL. You can also configure driver capabilities through the available Connection properties, from data modeling to firewall traversal. The Advanced Settings section shows how to set up more advanced configurations and troubleshoot connection errors.

Connecting to JDBC Data Sources

The CData JDBC Driver for Splunk provides full support for integration into Java applications, including Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, and many other Integrated Development Environments, as well as J2EE applications running on a Java server such as Tomcat. You can find JSP, console, and swing demos in the installation folder.

Java Version Support

To deploy the driver JAR file, you must have Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.8 or higher installed on your system.

Splunk Version Support

The driver leverages the Splunk Rest API to enable you to access data models in Splunk Enterprise or Splunk Cloud as relational databases, enabling bidirectional access to reports, datasets, and table datasets.

Note: Splunk does not enable access to their API for users with free trial accounts. As a result, you must have a paid Splunk account to connect using the driver.
