Getting Started

Connecting to Microsoft Project

Establishing a Connection shows how to authenticate to Microsoft Project and configure any necessary connection properties in a JDBC URL. You can also configure driver capabilities through the available Connection properties, from data modeling to firewall traversal. The Advanced Settings section shows how to set up more advanced configurations and troubleshoot connection errors.

Connecting to JDBC Data Sources

The CData JDBC Driver for Microsoft Project provides full support for integration into Java applications, including Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, and many other Integrated Development Environments, as well as J2EE applications running on a Java server such as Tomcat. You can find JSP, console, and swing demos in the installation folder.

Java Version Support

To deploy the driver JAR file, you must have Java Development Kit (JDK) 1.8 or higher installed on your system.

Microsoft Project Version Support

Enabling bidirectional SQL access to Project Server, the driver models Microsoft Project's CSOM and OData APIs as a relational database. The CData JDBC Driver for Microsoft Project can connect to both the cloud and local versions of Project Server.
